Purpose - DEC electricity meters are electronic meters used to measure electricity consumption in a single-phase or three-phase alternating current network.
Operation - A special electronic system creates pulses proportional to the electricity consumption in each phase, based on the effect of the current flow and the influence of voltage. The number of pulses is converted into electricity consumption and its value is displayed on the screen.
The meter has output pulses SO+ SO-, which allow another pulse meter (SO) to be connected.
No additional equipment is necessary for the proper operation of the meter. The cover of the meter's output and input terminals can be sealed, thus protecting the meter from being bypassed.
