The latest challenge for lighting technology manufacturers is safe lighting poles that meet the EN 12676 standard, which defines the safety requirements for road constructions.
The company "Elektromontaž - Rzesow" SA has been working in this field for several years. Studies have shown that only special constructions can absorb the energy generated during a shock, which is dangerous to human life.
Standard EN 12767 distinguishes three categories of shock absorption:
• high energy absorption (HE)
• low energy absorption (LE)
• non-energy absorbing (NE)
The resistance of constructions is determined by several levels of operational characteristics, which are determined according to the following main criteria:
• acceleration severity index (ASI),
• theoretical head impact velocity (THIV)
• vehicle speed at the time of collision - 50, 70 and 100 km/h.
Several dozen tests have been carried out to test the level of resistance of road constructions. The main focus was on high-intensity roads in residential areas, cities and highways.
The 10 - 12 m lighting poles produced by "Elektromontaž - Rzesow" SA meet the requirements of the EN 12767 standard, are patented in the RP Patent Office, and meet the aesthetic needs of customers:
• octagonal S-100/8-PS (S-110/8-PS, S-120/8-PS) with F-150/200-PS base,
• round S-100C-PS (S-110C-PS, S-120C-PS) with F-150/200-PS base.
